D.I.Y. Guide to Santa Cruz- An Incomplete List of Independent Local Projects

Here is an incomplete list of other radical and do-it-yourself projects in Santa Cruz with whom we at SubRosa sometimes have a mutually supportive relationship.

For instance, some Free Skool classes happen at SubRosa.  The Guerilla Drive-In has assisted with showings at the space.  The Meristem Health Distro has a rack of zines to the right of the counter.  The Union of Benevolent Electrical Workers has also held Free Skool classes at SubRosa.  Other projects, such as the Bike Church, the Fabrica and the Computer Kitchen are our neighbors and friends.

You can also access this list that has a larger font and easier to read at the Free Skool website http://santacruz.freeskool.org/content/free-skool-2012-spring-calendar (scroll down to the bottom after the list of classes to see the list).

Comments on the SubRosa website are fully moderated. As a collective, we agreed that the purpose of the website was to promote SubRosa, not to provide an online place for lively and invigorating debate. We hope that the space itself is where conversations on the nature of anarchism and local projects will take place. That said, we occasionally approve comments that are informative or reflect a viewpoint we feel it is important for website visitors to read.
