Anarchism (and SubRosa) on Public Radio

One of the original SubRosa founding members was asked to talk about anarchism on the Bay Area talk radio show Your Call.  Jenn was joined by Bay Area anarchist Andrej Grubacic.  It was a good discussion and we wanted to share it with you.

Listen to the show at:  http://www.kalw.org/post/today-your-call-whats-relevance-anarchism-today

Today on Your Call: What's the relevance of anarchism today?

On today's Your Call, we'll have a conversation about anarchism.  In the mainstream perception, "anarchy" is often synonymous with black masks, leaderless chaos, and property destruction.  But many anarchists are creating positive solutions to social problems.  Where are successful anarchist communities? And how would an anarchist economy function?  Join us at 10 or email feedback@yourcallradio.org.  If you call yourself an anarchist, what does it mean to you?  It's Your Call with Rose Aguilar, and you.

Guests:
Andrej Grubacic, author of Wobblies and Zapatistas: Conversations on Anarchism, Marxism, and Radical History and visiting professor of sociology at the University of San Francisco

Jenn Charles, founding collective member of the Subrosa infoshop and cafe in Santa Cruz

Comments on the SubRosa website are fully moderated. As a collective, we agreed that the purpose of the website was to promote SubRosa, not to provide an online place for lively and invigorating debate. We hope that the space itself is where conversations on the nature of anarchism and local projects will take place. That said, we occasionally approve comments that are informative or reflect a viewpoint we feel it is important for website visitors to read.
