Info re: new SubRosa IG // Really Really Free Market this Sunday // & more!

Hi everyone! Our old account was hacked and we can't get back in! Let's start over!  Check out https://instagram.com/subrosa_space for community updates, events, classes, whatever!

And scammers who took over old SubRosa IG (SubRosa_sc) have been DMing folk pretending to need help, but it's a lie! Ignore them! Tell your friends about these scammers and to go to the new SubRosa IG at

¡Este domingo el 8 de mayo! ¡Tianguis Realmente Gratuito! ☆Todo es gratis☆ This Sunday, May 8 - Really Really Free Market - 11am-2pm. No money. No trades. Everything is free. At SubRosa / the Hub - 703 Pacific Ave- Santa Cruz, CA

This gathering is not about the "stuff" we give and take, but more about how we can freely give and receive from each other.

¡Todo gratis! No intercambio de dinero, no negocios, no trueques. Trae lo que gustes, toma lo que necesites. Este mercado gratuito es basado en una economía de regalar.

Note: we will be accepting and setting aside survival gear (incl sleeping bags, pads, tents, tarps, warm clothes, etc) for houseless folk in the area. Please bring usable and clean items. Thanks so much! More info at

And from PedX, our wonderful neighbors at the Hub - "PedX is looking for new Member-Owners! Interested in participating in a cooperatively run space, riding your bike, and becoming part owner of a small, local, green business? Drop us a line! 831 426-BIKE coop@pedxsc.com"

SubRosa is a collectively run anarchist community space, a place to meet others and challenge our assumptions and act on our passions. We strive to create a vibrant environment for events, classes, meetings, organizing, performance, art, studying and more. SubRosa also offers radical literature for sale, and houses the Anarchist Lending Library. We welcome folks to join us in fostering an environment free from coercion, sexism, queer&homophobia, racism, ableism and other hierarchies.

SubRosa is part of the Hub Community Center, in downtown Santa Cruz, CA which is the unceded territory of the Awaswas-speaking Uypi Tribe. The Amah Mutsun Tribal Band, comprised of the descendants of indigenous people taken to missions Santa Cruz and San Juan Bautista during Spanish colonization of the Central Coast, is today working hard to restore traditional stewardship practices on these lands and heal from historical trauma.

Do you want to join SubRosa in solidarity with the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band?

Comments on the SubRosa website are fully moderated. As a collective, we agreed that the purpose of the website was to promote SubRosa, not to provide an online place for lively and invigorating debate. We hope that the space itself is where conversations on the nature of anarchism and local projects will take place. That said, we occasionally approve comments that are informative or reflect a viewpoint we feel it is important for website visitors to read.
