Shows & Other Events & How to Support SubRosa!

Greetings.  The nights are long and days are short and in these times it is important to remember that we have each other!  SubRosa is a space where so much can and does happen.  Check out what's happening in the days ahead.  We, in the SubRosa collective are discussing how to engage the shifting social/political terrain (yeah, not a whole new ground but an intensification of systems of domination), and we welcome you to join us to nurture and defend all that's important to each of us, people, places and more!   j!

-Thursday, Dec 15th, 2-6pm:
Open Hours!

Come on by SubRosa and see what's going on around town or check out a book from the @ library or purchase a zine or book.

-Friday, Dec 16th, 7pm:  A Show!

Dipygus, Doyenne + mtba...Uh, that's all it reads on the calendar.

Uh, again, not sure of details...take a chance & come on by (also East Bay Anarchist Bookfair that same day http://eastbayanarchist.com/ )  AND note: it is likely that the Really Really Free Market will be canceled for this month and will return next month.

-Sunday, Dec 18th, 7pm:  Yet Another Show!

-Monday, Dec 19th, 7:15pm: Sin Barras meeting

From their website "We will discuss ways that Sin Barras can support local and state-wide abolitionist campaigns and how we can further support loved ones inside and their families. We will also discuss what's going right here in Santa Cruz County. So please, bring your ideas and your desire to end the prison industrial complex!" https://sinbarras.org/

-Tuesday, Dec 20th, 6pm:  Out of the Broom Closet: reading/discussion/practice group at the intersection of magic, spirit & politics (The theme for this month is:  Whiteness, White Domination and Fascism in Pagan/Occult Worlds)

    The reading this week http://www.patheos.com/blogs/daughtersofeve/2016/01/embracing-the-darkness-white-fear-and-grief/

OUT OF THE BROOM CLOSET is a reading/discussion/practice group...that is open to anyone with curiosity and respect, who can get down with its basic frame work. The intention of this group is...to meet regularly with community, share ideas, learn and practice together at the intersection magic, spirit & politics in order to build capacity, intimacy and a framework for other branches of collaboration to be created and supported.

Also, the SubRosa fundraiser is still ongoing! And your financial support is so very appreciated!

(and money is processed through a secure WePay account).

Yup, appreciate any support you can offer to this anarchist community space...large and small...it all helps!  We barely scrape by each month and feel further energized for SubRosa to be an active and supportive presence in Santa Cruz, especially in these trying times.

And Thanks!

Note:  You can choose how regularly you contribute to SubRosa and the default on the website is weekly.  This can be changed to other time frames as well.  Also, the Action Network, which hosts the fundraiser requests a "tip" and this can also be adjusted from the default of 10% to "no tip" or even more.

Comments on the SubRosa website are fully moderated. As a collective, we agreed that the purpose of the website was to promote SubRosa, not to provide an online place for lively and invigorating debate. We hope that the space itself is where conversations on the nature of anarchism and local projects will take place. That said, we occasionally approve comments that are informative or reflect a viewpoint we feel it is important for website visitors to read.
