Santa Cruz Guerilla Drive-In Presents

ORLANDO

Orlando
is a visually beautiful, unusual & provocative film which follows the unique life of Orlando (Tilda Swinton), a  poet-philosopher & minor member the European Court- from the 1600's through 20th Century.  Living over 400 years s-he explores issues of love, purpose & identity- at times as a woman, at times as a man. This feminist view of history offers food for thought in subtle and inspiring ways: non-conformity, the search for truth, justice, identity & freedom.  (1992, 93 min.)

Directed by Sally Potter.  Based on the novel by Virginia Wolf.

Saturday Feb. 9th, 8pm

Always Free!

PLUS thrilling short films, an intermission, great company and a guaranteed good time!

BRING blankets, pillows, anything you need to be comfortable in the great indoors, friends, snacks to share. Donations to support the project are more than welcome.

SANTA CRUZ GUERILLA DRIVE-IN is an outdoor movie theatre under the stars that springs up in the fields and industrial wastelands. Comments on the SubRosa website are fully moderated. As a collective, we agreed that the purpose of the website was to promote SubRosa, not to provide an online place for lively and invigorating debate. We hope that the space itself is where conversations on the nature of anarchism and local projects will take place. That said, we occasionally approve comments that are informative or reflect a viewpoint we feel it is important for website visitors to read.
